So my brilliant hubby (well he isn't that dumb but sometimes he does silly things) just took very hot chicken broth that had been in a pot on top of the stove {he says it was not boiling} anyway... - Andy put it into a plastic bowl!

I have told him before not to do stuff like that - the bowl he put it into is a mixing bowl that must be about 30 years old. (It's so old it doesn't even have a number on the bottom indicating what type of plastic it is)

This is a guy who had cancer twice already - it's hard to deal with this type of thing - I think that HE thinks he is invincible.

Oh well - at least he has stopped smoking! :a28:

Not as bad as the time I stupidly put a plastic plate in the toaster oven. I was like 12 and binge watching The Simpsons one night and wanted to heat up something to eat. I wasn't used to the toaster oven and I knew you don't put metal in the microwave, but it didn't go through my dumbass head that it was the opposite for an oven. Well, I went into the kitchen after 13 minutes or so to see the kitchen was covered in the smell of burnt plastic, and that the toaster oven was covered in melted orange plastic. We had to open the backdoor all night so the fumes could be let out and not poison us. The microwave oven had to be cleaned out now that the plastic had cooled and hardened and it was covered everywhere. Not my brightest moment in life, that's for sure.

Like I said, I've been cutting back on commas in keeping with more recent punctuation styles. Growing up, we were taught to include them much more often than current usage. I prefer to say it was a stream of consciousness sentence, not a run-on sentence as you're suggesting. ;)
