I finished it a couple of days ago. What a fantastic novel. King created some of my favorite protagonists in this book! It was a slow burn but the character development was outstanding, especially with Edgar, Wireman, and Elizabeth. I can't remember the last time I got so emotional after I finished a King novel. And that ending... he nailed it!

I just had to gush. I absolutely loved it and I think it's entered my top ten King novels.

I really like this one as well, saraek1980. I agree too about the characters -- Edgar was great, and Wireman is just plain cool. I liked the narration: when first person works, it tends to work exceptionally well, and King, I believe, is a master at it. One small quibble: when the paintings were causing all hell to break loose, I wish those scenes were executed in third person. That would have been additive to the tale, but that's okay, still a terrific story. I'd like to see a movie version someday, maybe with Johnny Depp as Edgar.

As time goes on, it has become one of my favorites...a good (re)read for the summer, too, I might add...
