I've just finished a loooong overdue re read of Eyes of the Dragon. I went into it with some trepidation. I basically dismissed it as a fairy tale. Which it is, but that's not a bad thing. I mean, the unsanitized versions of the Grimms fairy tales are not pretty. I found this to be in that line. I also loved the mentions of R.F. and they way he fades away. Dreams that were shared by different people. Kept me going all the way to the end and I was sorry to get to the end. If you haven't read it in a while, do yourself a favor.

....it is always a good fall back novel...light on the brain-but big on entertainment.....

I always liked that one, simply because it reminded me of stories my grandfather would tell me before bedtime. Castles and dragons, knights and evil wizards... it was very nostalgic, like being wrapped in fluffy blankets on a cold night, with just you head poked out of the covers, listening with eyes wide and breath bated.

Love that book and would love if Stephen King would write a sequel to it.

One of my favs too. Lucky you, hossenpepper . Treasure that book well. The "r" word, for MsMod is down the path........

That sounds like an interesting story!

At the first King Kon in Bangor, there were little contests with door prizes. I won a hardback first edition of EotD. I knew that was Miss Mod's first project at SK, Inc., so I thought "Who better to sign it?". After some mild haranguing, she agreed. :)

What is the status for the adaptation of this book? Anyone know? Here's what Wikipedia says:

In 2012 Syfy announced that they were developing several projects for potential television adaptations, one of which was The Eyes of the Dragon.[9] If successfully developed, the book would be made into either a movie or miniseries.[10] Michael Taylor and Jeff Vintar were confirmed to be penning the script and Taylor and Bill Haber would act as executive producers.
