Aw. What a sweetie. May you dwell in the Temple of Bast forever Nutmeg.

Our kitty Yang is closing in on 20. Maybe he'll be the next Oldest Cat in the World.
Wow, Tery, that's a long time for a cat. My own is over 16 now. Just took her to the vet today and she is doing fine. Thought she might have ear mites but looks like it was just a build up of ear wax. Big relief for me!

RIP, Nutmeg.

He'd have been around the same age as my cat, Tig (yep, short for Tiger, though he could be more like Tigger depending on his mood). He died way back in the summer of 2000. Amazing to think that one of his contemporaries lasted this long.
Thing is, after Tig popped off to see what came next, I said I'd never have another pet, let alone a cat. My gf talked me round and somehow we ended up with three cats, and Bob, the tom, broke down any resistance I might have had. He's 9 1/2 now, so getting on, but he's taught me that while losing them is heartbreaking, it's not about what comes at the end; what matters is everything in between. I hope the Finlays realise that eventually.
(And yeah, when it comes to ours I love the other two as well, but it's fair to say that Bob's my favourite.)
