One last thing. Was I alone in thinking that
there were subtle lesbian overtones to Grace's relationships with both Mary and Nancy. I felt it more strongly in the scenes with Grace and Nancy and even wondered if this was the root cause of Nancy's jealousy.
I felt that way too, but I don’t think it was ever addressed.

Ancient Aliens episodes are airing all day on The History Channel. Even though I don't believe aliens from other worlds have ever visited Earth (well maybe I believe it could have been possible just a tiny tiny bit), I think the show is interesting :) At the moment they're talking about the Mayan civilization and Leonardo Da Vinci's inventions.
I believe you.
I'm gonna see Todd soon, so I'm binge listening.

Watching the Nutcracker Suite on TV - so many darn commercials! Good thing I can pause it, then fast forward all the annoying ads.

I record everything I want to watch on the dvr so I can fast forward through the commercials :)

I gave up on Ancient Aliens. Some of their theories are sooooooo off the wall. I quit watching when they proposed the theory that aliens gave Noah the DNA for all the animals so that they would all fit on the ark. Jeeeeeze Louiseeeee, give me a break.

I can't find anything on tv I really want to watch :(

Ash vs. Evil Dead

Finished the first season of Ash vs. Evil Dead. This is completely tailor-made for fans and follows on from the first two movies (who basically tell an overlapping story) and doesn't really mention what happened in Army of Darkness.
It's every bit as over-the-top and gory as the first two films, but since it's a series slightly less inventive in camerawork. When towards the end of the season the story moves back to the wellknown cabin in the woods though, it still feels quite close to the films. The series is not just a repetition or rehash of highlights from the films, there is quite a bit of innovation. On the other hand, it also shows why the films were rather short and why the episodes are left short too: as fun as it is (and Campbell is funny by nature, as also evidenced by his Comic Con panels), it's also rather simple and one-sided; it's a man with a boomstick and a chainsaw for a hand, a Book of the Dead and a lot of Deadites. It's not something to bingewatch, but rather to watch about three/four episodes at a time, or else the joke is in danger of wearing thin a little.

Just finished Godless. My favourite Western since Unforgiven. What an epic story.
Just finished this tonight. One of my favorite series. Everything was amazing—actors, cinematography, score. What a hell of a
gun fight
at the end!
I probably rate this right after Breaking Bad. It’s that good.

Oh yes, you are so right about that spoiler. It was one of the best choreographed scenes I've ever watched.

I love that the trailers for this marketed it as a basic revenge story, so the big reveal about the real key players in the show was a great surprise.
