I watched a three hour documentary about The Eagles on Netflix. It contained many concert clips and interviews from the '70s and singers such as Linda Ronstadt, Kenny Rogers, Jackson Browne, and Bob Seger share their own history with the band. Band members reflect on old feuds and funny moments and personal biographies, of course. I liked it.
I've seen this, it is really good.

Freeway: Crack in the System

Documentary about the real Rick Ross, one of the largest drug dealers on the west coast during the crack epidemic, not the lame rapper.

Pretty interesting. I was amazed that this guy was such a huge player in the drug trade despite being illiterate. Seriously, he didn't learn to read until he went to prison! How messed up is that? I'm not condoning his career choice by any means, just saying there are some serious flaws in the education system if someone can make it through without being able to read or write. Talk about a societal failure. Shameful.

Minimalism: A Documentary About the Important Things

I think my hormones are short circuiting. This made me cry. I'm trying to figure out why. I cry at everything anymore.

Manson: His Final Words

I found this interesting even though there doesn't seem to be much in the way of new information. They sometimes twist the same information in a new way, and that makes me think about it in a new way. I like that.

Charles Manson was an icky little guy. He was right where he needed to be. But, he did not kill any of the people he was sent to death row for (later commuted to life). He was not at the scene during any of the killings, but yet, he was convicted for telling people to kill. Which he says he never said. He said, do something "witchy." He was convicted for Murder and conspiracy.

Playing devil's advocate here people, just want to make you think -- the only evidence of Charlie's involvement as leader were from other drug addled murderers -- one who was actually at the scene and actually DID kill, Linda Kasabian, who for a plea agreement, agreed to give testimony on Charles Manson.

Baby Ballroom -- netflix

This was a really fun little series of shows. I love to watch dancing, and to see these young kids, just wow.

The show follows a group of kids from a successful dance school in England. My favorite little couple was Max and Olivia -- 8 and 9 respectively. Unbelievable talent.

The only thing that was a little disappointing was, the families of the boys involved make a big deal of saying their kid isn't Gay and that made me sad. WTH people. Can we just get over this? Who in the hell cares if someone is Gay? How is this directly changing anything about you? It isn't. Live and let live and let's move on. I don't care if these boys are Gay, it's none of my business. They were unbelievable athletes.

Seeing Allred

This documentary was about Attorney Gloria Allred. I love this ballsy broad. People criticize that she takes everything to TV, but guess what? That's a brilliant move! Being a mostly women's rights attorney, she is representing a segment of people who have been bullied into silence. And she ain't playing that. The more people she touches with the story, the more apt change will happen. What better use of media than calling out these idiots. They can't hide in the shadows and continue playing their games.

I really admire her.

And a lot of women have a problem with her. I don't get that. She's an intelligent woman making a difference out there for all women. She has won billions for her clients, and yep, she has got her cut too, rightly so.

Women can be such hateful creatures-- I hate to say that because I am talking about my own kind. But I hate the jealousy and backstabbing nastiness that happens just because a woman is successful.

It's like Stephen said in On Writing (paraphrasing) talking about one of the girls who was the model for Carrie. She came to school one day looking great, with new clothes and looking cute -- and the kids tore her down because she was trying to make a break for the wall. Once they put her back in her place, all was right for them.

I don't have my copy of On Writing with me to get that just right, but it's true. A woman tries to make a break for the wall, and women are the first to claw at her to pull her down.

Isn't she the one who married George Harrison and then became involved with Eric Clapton? Maybe she just had some sort of mysterious allure - who knows?

I watched a religious DVD by a guy called Perry Stone. It was called something like America: Prophecies, cycles, and the future. It was pretty good, how he compared America and Israel(even the layout of Washington DC, with the Jefferson building and the Lincoln Memorial and Capitol Hill). He also compared how America is in danger of doing what happened to Ancient Rome.

Spent the weekend bawling. I watched the British, Love Your Garden.

This is where some guy, Titchmarsh, went around Britain doing gardens for people in wheelchairs, or who were caregivers or who spent their time in service to others due to some medical hardship.

I mean, what this guy and his team did was amazing and wonderful, but man! I just cried and cried.
