Watched a couple of movies this weekend. Loving this movie pass thing we’re signed up for.

“Beirut”- I didn’t ever watch Madmen but Jon Hamm and Rosamund Pike were both amazing in this movie. If you grew up watching the news about all the violence in Beirut in the 70’s and 80’s, this movie is fascinating. Great plot, great acting.

“A Quiet Place”- strange watching a movie with very little spoken dialogue but the sound editing made up for it. It seemed like you could hear every blade of grass blowing in the wind, every breath, every background noise that you usually don’t pay attention to in a movie became important. Not the stellar movie I had heard it was but worth watching. Lots of jump scares but a different kind of plot for sure.

Saw Ready Player one... I listen to the book first then went to the movie....total different...the book was more towards people who grew up in the 80`s and 90`s. Where the movie seem more towards teens now a days...my 17 year like the move.

We Also watch the Movie The Shining. My son was creep out by it. I had forgotten how different the book and the movie are.

Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle. First off, I love both The Rock and Jack Black. I was certainly rewarded in this flick. Yeah, it's a popcorn movie but there's nothing wrong with that as long as it keeps one's attention. The Rock continues to prove that comedy is his real forte; he was hilarious. But Jack Black stole the film. For me, anyway. YMMV. If you like action-comedy this is a winner!

Hope this qualifies. The only movie type I have watched in months. It is called 'TRUST The Kidnapping of a Getty' and stars
Donald Sutherland. It is on FX channel on Sunday nights and is a true story. I think its a brilliant series and always like to watch true stories.
Have CraveTV now with new service provider. Lots, I mean LOTS of movies on there.

I watched four movies recently:
1) Logan- I didn't like this particularly as it was pretty boring and slightly politically correct( the baddies were all white guys with guns and it tried to make them maybe look like neo-nazis and the goodies were this minority to find safe haven south of the border. 3/10.
2) Ghost Ship- I like this movie, especially the role played by the lead actress which isn't over the top. It is basically the same plot as Event Horizon, except this is on a ship at sea. Slight changes, but the ship is the entity. 7/10
3)Drone- about a guy who is a contractor for the CIA who flies drones that kill people in middle eastern countries. Not too bad. 7/10
4) Amelia- a short episode based on a Richard Matheson short story 'Prey'. It has Karen Black and she get possessed by a doll she bought at some antique store. She ends up with big teeth. 7/10
