I like KIng's last book better than the Hodges' books, I think. I liked Brady as a character, but the new book I liked because it is more reflective with regard to existential matters. I don't know how old you are but usually you like a book that resonates with you at certain time in your life when you are are positive about the future and you can 'feel' that time when you re-read a book. So I would say that around the time I turned 19 in Jan 1984 and I think I read Pet Sematary around then and there were no worries back then except I smashed my car.

I suppose Carrie made the largest impact. CoriSCapnSkip, time tends to leave certain brilliant authors behind, and Bradbury seems to be one of them. I think by today's standards he's seen as rather a minor artist. Then others, Jorge Luis Borges for example, seem to have gone from near obscurity to having their reputations grow every year.
