Just read through some posts in Random Thoughts discussing items that were collected from stores or found in products. Ghost had mentioned NFL cups, which brought to mind the question: What other items have you collected in the past that were included in products or Fast Foods ( think McD Happy Meals ) ?

I collected the Flinstone mugs when I was pregnant. I had this craving for fries only at McDonald's. I would get a mug every time I went. Needless to say I have plenty of Flintstone mugs and I have not parted with them yet.

When Chex made their own DOOM ripoff. Despite literally copying the entire Doom engine they did put an amazing amount of effort into the sprites for something that would be free with a cereal.

I used to collect those, I'm not sure what you called them but they looked like tiny little life preservers, from Cheerios boxes.

Got the full set of Walt Disney Classic tumblers you got from Burger King back in the mid 90’s. Still use them today. We have the complete set. Just looked it up, the entire set still in box goes for $189 unused and $85 used with box. I have saved the glass figurines found in Red Rose tea for many years... got a bunch of them. Back in the 60’s I bought Cracker Jack because they gave out nice prizes in their boxes, not the crap you get today.

Oh wow! Memory lane! I used to have all of the California Raisins that came with Hardee's Cinnamon Raisin biscuits! Sadly, they got sold in a yard sale, but I recently found one that now sits on my desk.

Hubby collected the Disney figures - I can't remember if they were Happy Meals or another franchise - but he's got all the Darkwing Duck and Chip 'N Dale Rescue Rangers figures! I'll have to see if we can find them to take some pics.

brings back so many memories of my mother-in-law. She collected California Raisins for years before she passed.

When I was a kid, I-hop had NFL helmets. On Sundays, I used to go eat my chocolate chip pancakes

We had the entire set of Looney Tunes character glasses from Hardees. I also had two complete sets of Smurf glasses from Burger King, and two complete sets of holiday glasses from Arby's.

Oh, I forgot about those! I only had a couple of the Smurf glasses, but my mom had a nice set of the Arby's glasses!

During the Florida Marlins first season (1993), Chevron gave out signed photo baseballs with a fill-up. I have a few of those. The baseball had the photo of a Marlins player and was signed (sort of - it was a mass produced signature). Problem was that the Marlins didn't have too many players worth remembering from that season. I've got a Dave Magadan and Benito Santiago. I have more but can't remember the names.
