We saw them and they were awesome! Tommy Lee rotating around above, playing the drums was totally cool. He brought a woman up to ride with him during a solo. So awesome!
LUCKY! Some friends of mine and myself planned to go see them on the original Dr. Feelgood tour in Tulsa, OK in 1990 but the plan fell apart for some reason. I would have loved to see them back then.

Overlord - WWII, evil Nazis, weird experiments, lots of action. If you grew up reading comics like Sgt Rock/Nick Fury and the Howling Commandos, you'll love this. I don't understand why this didn't have a bigger impact at the box-office. 7/10

The Belko Experiment - a pretty messed up Twilight Zone-esque story. Office workers are trapped in their building and literally have to kill to get out. 6/10

The Umbrella Academy - on Netflix. On the surface, it looks like a riff on X-Men. It's so much more. This one got off to a slow start for me, but by episode 4 I was enjoying it very much. Great song selections as well. 8/10

Polar - Mads Mikkelsen does his spin on John Wick. 7/10

Upgrade - The Six-Million Dollar Man for the very near-future. Great show, and I'd love to see this turned into a series. 7/10

The Changeling - I've never seen the 1980 George C Scott-starring film until now. It's beautifully shot, the pacing of the story is excellent, and just a great ghost story overall. 8/10

The Dirt - every cheesy cliche about 80s hair metal is in this, and it's a thoroughly entertaining watch. The actors in particular were very well-cast. I was miffed that Dr Feelgood (the song, not the album) wasn't featured in the movie, although the drug-dealer that inspired the tune was. And, uh...Ozzy Osbourne snorts a line of ants. 7/10

Love, Death + Robots - Heavy Metal magazine adapted the right way. 10/10

The Kirlian Frequency - now this is an interesting one. A series of animated shorts from Argentina, set in the spooky town of Kirlian. All the traditional horror tropes are avoided in this, which makes it all the more chilling. And to my surprise, there was even an episode rife with Stephen King references (this King fella sure does get around, doesn't he?) If you get this on Netflix in your area, please check it out. I'd love the hear what you all think. 7/10

A friend suggested KF to me, I thought it was pretty good although it’s stories were quite abstract in their presentation. The Stephen King episode was funny but I liked the last story the best, the last episode had a very Poe-like quality to it and I thought it was very creepy and outstandingly told. The animation style is unique too. It’s like a Mexican version of the Nightvale podcast.

We saw How to Train Your Dragon - the Hidden World

It was at the theatre and we saw it in 3D - quite enjoyable and the special effects were beautiful

THe Highwaymen -- Netflix

Starring Kevin Costner and Woody Harrelson

While Kevin plays the exact same character every single movie, he's so good at it. I love him and he's very charming as the ex Texas Ranger hunting down Bonnie and Clyde.
Thought it was pretty good also. Harrelson and Costner didn't seem to have the chemistry I hoped they would have but Costner was good as the hard nosed Texas Ranger, I liked his character.

I finished "The Widow" last weekend also with.....sighhhhhh, Kate Beckinsale. Although she's as gorgeous as ever, the show started off really good but kind of cheesed out toward the end and became predictable. Worth watching I think, the jungle setting and action is pretty good but, I don't know, it was just missing something the last couple of episodes. I think they tried to stretch the story out too far, maybe?

I have to watch Tucker: A Man and His Dream for my marketing class and do a case analysis of how Tucker used Porter's Five Forces model. I've seen the movie before. Ironically as part of my undergrad marketing class.

I will also be going to see Alien in 35mm on 4/26. It's the 40th anniversary of the film this year.

Went and saw the new Pet Sematary yesterday -- my thoughts about it are in that thread.

They showed some interesting previews. The one that looked super fun to me is a new movie coming out with Bill Murray.

And, a movie with Octavia Spencer who is an amazing actress, also scary as hell looking.

We watched The Mule, with Clint Eastwood and Bradley Cooper. I did not realize this was based on a true story!

I enjoyed it. Clint still has his signature scowl, the signature flash of "do you know who you are speaking to" flash in his eyes. I did not so much like the ending, but it made sense.

And Bradley Cooper. Mmm-hmmm. ;)

can you just tell me how this ends? Honestly. I want to know but I don't want to watch the movie. I know the premise of the story so you don't have to set it up, just give me the goods.

He gets caught and pleads guilty to all charges. But found a new relationship with his family, which is the primary reason he pled guilty.
