    HBO TV Series- CASTING

    In a dream world, I've always thought Edward Norton would have made an outstanding Eddie Dean, but he's far too old to play the character now. I think Dennis Quaid has the right look for Roland, but he's getting up there too.

    If there is one song that sums up this book...(spoiler alert)

    I don't think it fits the melancholy, bittersweet ending of the story--compare it to "Twilight Time" by the Platters at the end of Hearts in Atlantis.

    Garth Brooks--The Dance??? Seriously, when the movie is made, what better song for the final scene?
