    Thank you, Stephen King

I always wanted to thank Stephen King for scaring me making laugh, cry and think.

    What did you think?

My favorite was Rat. Had the King doing it old style and really right. My least favorite was the Holly story. It just felt too pat, too tidy and it felt like a massive plot hole in that how did the bomb get to be addressed to someone at the school? Maybe I missed something. I like the Holly in...

    Finally read Duma Key

Sometimes that's why books are better than films. You get to keep what's in your head can stay in your head

    Finally read Duma Key

I love Duma Key, too. I know Edgar was hispanic, but in my head he always sounded like Morgan Freeman. The vibe of the book was so scary and yet believable. Made me want to go there.

Dear Marsha: 'I'm so glad we had this time together..........'

I want to put in my two cents here. I've been away for a good while. I've been off work since the end of March. Fortunately with pay. I've taken on so many long neglected household projects that I've been busier that ever. My husband had been waiting for a hip replacement for a year and now it's...

    Coronavirus

Ireland is only short of lockdown. Schools are closed until at least after Easter. McDonalds is closed. Essential services are running, but self distancing is strongly advised and hand sanitizing as well. Hair dressers as well. Grocery stores are open, but there is not as much hoarding as some...

    New Ending?

    The Institute (spoilers possible)

I loved The Institute. The direction it took was very refreshing. A positive ending. As for the man with the lisp, it was good that we met him. I'm glad he was less than expected. To me, it's about hiding power and menace behind a seemingly innocous exterior

    Latest Movie That You Watched!

Saw Dr. Sleep which I loved. While a very good adaptation of the book, it was also creepy as hell. Brilliant ending. I know a couple of people that expected a straight up sequel to The Shining and were disappointed. That is how it was marketed, but there is so much more to it than that. My...
