Those are very cool! Good job! Alas rewoT19 and I can't come. Unless someone can figure out how I can get there without driving or flying over mountains it's out of the question for me! Not enough Xanax or vodka to get me to do either ever again.
Thank you so much everyone. And Dana, you made me laugh with the behiney thing! Thank you. Laughs have been scarce. I thought I was a pretty tough cookie but, nope not so tough. I'm so sorry kingricefan. I hope you can find comfort and acceptance. Hard but it will come. I hope you have someone...
Hello all, so sorry to have been so quiet for so long. I sunk into a deep depression after my mom passed away and real life just faded away. I was getting worse steadily instead of better. I had a breakthrough a month ago when my dad's brother died. I think I finally did the real deep grieving...
Hey thanks everyone! One more year and I can collect social security. Yikes! How did this happen?
If it weren't so early in the morning I might have tried write this backwards. ;-D
Okay Pat I agree with the first two but really no secrets? Even teeny tiny ones? Seriously, I do think there are some things a person should never share with anyone and maybe most importantly your partner.
Even though my husband and I have been married forever (43 years yikes!) I don't know...
Thinking of you and your son. The first Fathers Day and the pain is still so raw. It will be a tough one so hang on to each other. Hang on hard. The tears will flow, the heart will ache but the day will pass and the pain will ease over time.
I love Spidey too. She always listens when I'm pouring my heart out to her. She listens and gently guides me.
I do have to tell you though that when I first started talking to her she wanted to get my address so she could send me something and my husband had a fit. "You don't know who that...
That makes me feel better. ;-D I do that with certain chapters too. Yes, possibly addiction. But do we care? Nope! That's why we're here. Everyone understands.
The DT series does take of a big chunk of time but you can always take a break between books. The first reading took me something like...
Thanks! Respect is not what I expected as most people think I'm just nuts for reading anything that many times. I love reading good books more than once. I tend to read way too fast the first time and miss so much.
Have you done the Dark Tower series yet? If not it should be your next mission.
Oh wow. That is just too much for one family. All I can say is from my own experiences it seems like time crawls when things are rough and fly by too fast when things are good. But this bad time WILL pass and things WILL get better. Hang in there and try to take care of yourself too. I know...
I liked all the points you made even if I disagree with some of them. Your post was well stated and it's fun to hear others views.
I am probably a dork to admit this but I've read the book 11 times. There are parts that make me hate, love, cry, laugh and get goose bumps even after reading it...
Welcome! Try starting with the revised edition of The Gunslinger. I found it flowed much better and kept my attention better. I'm going to get some grief from the die hard fans who loved the first one but what the heck. If it gets you to read the entire series it's worth it.
