    Angry Birds Movie Shining Scene

I went to the movie theater to see "Angry Birds" with the kids last week and was so surprised to see a scene from The Shining. The birds opened a door in the piggy's castle and there was a hallway with (piggy) twins holding hands as shown in Kubrick's The Shining. Who would put that in a kid's...

    Gord Downie, The Tragically Hip

Ugh! Last couple of years hasn't been good for music! It was announced yesterday that Gord Downie, 52, lead singer from The Tragically Hip has terminal brain cancer. This Canadian band was introduced to me by my husband before we got married in 1999. We have seen them so many times and is one of...

    Newer Movies that Scare You

So I watched "The Conjuring" recently. (I know I am late to the game on this one as it's been out for awhile, but as someone who can get her new movie fulfillment through HBO, it takes a little longer) This one scared me. It's a good old-fashion based on a true story ghost story. Wow! Anyone...

    Apt Pupil?

Am I missing something? Was looking for a thread for this and I couldn't find it. I am currently listening on audio. Not done yet, but WOW so far. Creepy and crazy. Frank Muller, the narrator on the book is doing a great job of doing both the German accent and American one.

I am not good at riddles

OK, so I found out through reading this book that I am not good at riddles. I think the riddles in the book are awesome, but I am terrible at figuring them out. Anyone else have this issue? I bet Stephen King is a good riddler.

    Sandy Koufax

In the last two weeks I have heard two references of Sandy Koufax. Totally random, he was mentioned on the radio and I found out he was my father-in-law's favorite as a kid. That was the most insane portion of that book. Anyone who read it knows. I practically had a physical reaction. WOW, is...

Amazed at one thing so far....

OK, so there is a lot of amazing things about these books.I haven't finished this book III yet, however, had to comment on this early. Amazed that King wrote Susannah as someone who doesn't have the use of her legs. I thought when she became Susannah and since it's a different world, that might...

    Don't be a.......

OK, so I felt bad Thinner didn't have anything in it yet. The book is my favorite of the Bachman novels. I loved the book and I thought they did the movie well. I didn't read the book as Bachman novel though, I read it in paperback with Stephen King's name on the cover when I was younger. I did...
