Shout out to Ms. Morgan for her generosity and thoughtfullness.

Morgan, thank you so much for sending me the HARDCOVER copy of Different Seasons! I reorganized my bookcase immediately. I appreciate your kindness immensely... And to top it all off, you threw Blockade Billy in as well! I've had a bleak, depressing couple of days and this lifted my spirits and...

Anyone order SK from Thriftbooks? Question regarding that site...

I can't remember which member of the board always recommends ordering from thriftbooks- I think kingricefan or skimom2... Anyway, my birthday is around the corner and I've been scanning through the site for SK hardcovers that I'm missing. I've heard the site is reliable with shipping and very...

Hi everybody, back from a hiatus

I've got a lot of catching up to do with all of SKs new stuff... My "New SK" reading list; Mr. Mercedes, Revival, Joyland, Colorado Kid, Doctor Sleep. I'm also looking forward to the new short stories collection coming out in November.

I'm very happy right now, I bought a book case!

I've been looking for one for a while now. I didn't have much money in my budget to spend, so I'd just been checking Good Will and resale shops. I've seen a handful of smaller shelves that would be inadequate for my collection. I saw a very nice, fancy-looking book case but it was $150.00... I...

This book is so hard to put down...

I started it this past Sunday or Monday and I'm 200 pages away from finishing. I never spend 2 or 3 hour blocks of time reading. I usually take my time. This holiday weekend gives me a chance to finish up and hopefully move on to Black House next week! Happy 4th of July everyone!

Any Trailer Park Boys fans here?

I love the series and the movies. I can't wait to see the third movie Trailer Park Boys: Don't Legalize It, and seasons 8 and 9. My brother introduced me to the show, and at first I had my doubts... But it is hilarious! The Christmas special is touching too. I watch Dear Santa Clause, Go ****...

    Finally done.

I took almost 3 years to read the series(with many books in-between). I loved the ending. In a few months I'm ordering The Wind Through the Keyhole, looking forward to reading it. Now I'm onto The Eyes of the Dragon.

Anyone have helpful tips when ordering from Amazon.com?

I've been making a list of maybe 5 or 6 books that I am planning on ordering from Amazon... I still have a couple months before I can order, but I'm getting an idea of what I want. I haven't personally bought books this way- I've received gifts and one of the books (The Bachman Books) was in...

Desperation and the Regulators are connected. Insomnia connected as well?

I read Desperation years ago. I started Insomnia, got part-way through and stopped(can't recall why- years ago)... I haven't read The Regulators, but I know that the characters from Desperation are in that story as well... My question is; is Insomnia in any way connected to these two other...

I'm almost done, can't wait to move on to Book 7.

I took quite a while to get through Song Of Susannah, but I just have the epiloge to read and then onto The Dark Tower. It took me a little over a year to get through the first books- with plenty of other SK novels and Organized Crime books in-between.

Your best story of finding/discovering/purchasing a book

A couple of years back, I was just finishing-up The Drawing of Three. I was loving the book but bummed-out at the same time because I wouldn't be able to borrow Wastelands from the Library(I had some fines and was broke), and I also didn't have a book store near me... I went to the flee market...

    Hello

My name is Mark, I've been reading Stephen King since I was 11 years old. I started with Christine and was hooked. I'm currently reading Wolves of the Calla and I'm almost finished. I can't wait to move on to Song Of Sussanah, but I'm, really looking forward to The Dark Tower. After I finish...
