Hi, was just thinking about how this was King's only directing credit. Does Stephen have any interest in supervising a transfer so that this could be released on Blu-ray, or even 4K UHD? I ask because many older films that have been released on Blu-ray are often supervised by the director or dp...
King and Straub fans have long assumed there would be three TALISMAN books (not four, not five, but three). King's exact words "I don't have any plans to collaborate again" are very alarming for anyone who wanted a third TALISMAN book. Can Marsha possibly comment on this in some way? Would be...
They changed it just after I asked about it! Lilja is correct, Amazon.co.uk has indeed changed it to the new cover, although Hodder.co.uk still has the old cover (not that it matters much, I'm sure Hodder.co.uk will update it eventually).
Hi. I noticed that the paperback cover for the UK release of END OF WATCH due out on 4th of May (and other territories covered by Hodder, such as Australia) is 100% identical to the hardcover cover. Sometimes Hodder will use a significantly different cover for hardcover and paperback versions...
I thought the original title was great! It seems a shame to come up with a terrific title and then not use it, but I can understand why there may have been concerns/reservations about the original title. And on a related tangent I certainly prefer DREAMCATCHER over CANCER. Thanks for the insight...
Presumably the publishers don't want suicide in the title and they think a different title will result in higher sales. But THE SUICIDE PRINCE is more striking, memorable and unique than END OF WATCH. If the decision is already finalised then so be it, but I think a poll on this site asking...
Two questions - first, what was the reason why A FACE IN THE CROWD didn't make this collection? Is it likely to be included in a future collection?
My second question is about UR (not sure if this has been asked yet or not). How many versions of this are there - the 2009 ebook version and now a...
This is a good topic! There are so many stories/characters/subplots etc. that could show up in a future book and would be well worth reading. I myself would always choose a 100% 'new' book as opposed to a sequel/series, but sometimes a sequel/series can be justified and turn out to be some of an...
I'd rather Stephen writes this whenever the hell he wants to rather than thinking he 'has' to start and finish something at a particular date. If he wants to start it in 2015, or 2016, or five years from now, ten years from now... Whatever.
Then again, maybe the idea is to create the 'plans'...
Thank you for your response. I can imagine it must be very annoying dealing with false information and so on, but I thought Liljas site was trustworthy? I'll be interested to see how this plays out on his site in the coming days.
First off I want to apologise if it seems like I'm trying to create arguments or hostility or whatever.
Lilja said he'd emailed Peter Straub and Straub said the plan was to write it with Stephen next year. So Lilja is either telling the truth, lying, or there was some miscommunication with...
Thanks for your reply. If it does get written next year though then it would probably be out in 2016 or 2017 (I'm guessing), so we have to wait a while yet!
I guess I didn't think there'd be any issues with Liljas site. It's one of the most well-known Stephen King sites (maybe the most well-known after stephenking.com) and its main purpose seems to be posting Stephen King news. I don't want to begin an argument (and hope it's not coming off that...
Does Lilja have to do that though? I wasn't aware that that was the case, or that was something that King's people wanted him to do. As long as the info is reliable I thought it would be fine to just put it on his website. His site has been around a long time and if he posts information about...
Stewart O'Nan would want this to be included though wouldn't he? Plenty of people are going to buy this book and it'd be great publicity for Stewart to have a story included in a Stephen King collection.
Come on now Liljas site deserves better than that. Lilja posted that he just emailed Straub and that King and Straub are planning to write it next year.
