If wishing is the thing here a hardcover signed (specifically aimed to me) first edition of IT, my fave King book.
That would be a great gift indeed.
I have some books signed by Jack Vance, the great SF writer, specifically aimed at me. To Kurt from his friend Jack Vance it says. I met him when i was perhaps 7-8 years old and he was a dinnerguest of my father and he somehow took a liking to me. A month later when he was back in the states a paket drops in with three books comes for me. One was The Wind In The Willows and two other classic children books. I still treasure them.

I can't even remember which one. It's an anthology, that I remember. Title escapes me. One reason was given that the signature sheets were lost enroute to the last author to sign them and they had to start over from scratch and resend the sheets out.
That's my choice. Mayhap there are two of them.

Scott, I have recently seen quite a few copies appearing on ebay that have been going for around $150- 200. They may not be in the best of shape but they are true 1st printings.
...yeppur, have seen those as well.....I was just quoting from the "nice" copies....still more clams than I can handle right now.....
