I have to ask, in Jake's "normal future"
Sadie is said to have never left Jodie. Was there someone else to convince her to not go back home with her parents in Georgia?
I just finished the book and for some reason that stands out. Thank you.

It has been a little while since I read the book and that comment vaguely stirs a memory.
My impression was that after her crazy ex husband was killed, she became a more independent and strong woman. I just assumed she matured and put her parents behind her (like her now dead husband). I'm assuming that no one else helps her (besides the community) although Jake hoped that she loved someone in her life.
Hope this helps.....

Yep, pretty much this.
Even without jake she had the strength within to overcome her crazy husband and continue to forge her own life and future as an independent woman in jodie. I also think that in every reality, deke is a close friend and father figure to her.
