19 and the accident

Has anyone thought about the date of SK’s car accident? June 19 1999!
Both 19 and 99 are occurring a lot through his works, but especially 19 as many of you know! So ofc that’s the day the dude who shares his middle name hits him with his car.
And then he dies on SK’s birthday. Pretty sick, but I guess I’m not that surprised. Ka is a wheel..

I may have jumped to conclusions. I’m reading Wolves of the Calla again and that’s where the 19 talk begins I believe. At least in the Dark Tower series. However, it was written in 2003, i.e after the accident. Does anyone know in what work of his the 19 business began? I’m trying to figure out what came first, 19 or the accident. I’m sure someone here knows.

Nineteen is a number that has been a factor in his personal life as well. He was 19 when he made his first professional short story sale. I honestly don't know in which of his works that number first popped up but my guess is it came well before The Dark Tower was first published.
