The woods are lovely dark and deep
Sir Leif--I feel I know the characters we've met so far more intimately because of your addition and I loved the introduction of another unusual person and wonder what he will contribute. The cast is mysterious and their denouement is foreboding and I want to know so much more.

Thank ya'll who have taken time out to provide us with a wonderful new scare!

I love chapters 8 and 9. If the scheme of 'Salem's Lot was being used, I believe 8 would be called Erwin (I) and 9 would be Erwin (II). He is a scary character. Both sections brought him to nightmarish life. Praise to both authors for their storytelling.

Sir Demeter---oboy, oboy, oboy, unlike Lou I am not comfortable in cemeteries after dark and you really built the atmosphere with talks of witches and seers and unearthing graves, boyoboyoboy and what's with Erwin and Sarah.

You guys are all doing such a marvelous job creating this wonderful story for the season! THANK YOU!

Special thanks to you, Mz. skimom2, for getting these segments to us. ((((ToAll))))

Lily, Honihohkaiyohos, (high-backed wolf) nearfather .... great detail and background for the continuation of the story.... brilliant, really...

Jack and venom, corpse mugging ... shiny imagery and character continuation and creation, Leif,

Spying the falsehood in Irwin's words, he of the silver knife and ashes on the floor, the possibly drug-using midget, cracking voice and evil attitude from that suspicious dwarf.... that and more from Robert Gray

Split decision made, good additional dialogue focus in the story returns, "They'll be here sooner than you think" hmmmmm..... the Seeker, the Guide, the Guardian, and then the box in the grave... all from Demeter

The story is burning rapidly down to it's end.

Chapter 10 is a really well-crafted piece of work. The pacing -- fast -- is perfect. So many new pieces of information were revealed that I found the prose to be dense with excitement. At this point, I can honestly say I'm not sure how this is going to finish, so the reveal will definitely be satisfying.

Here is my favorite pair of sentences from the section:

"At least I know these people are dead and I don’t believe in ghosts. It’s beasts and dwarves that worry me."

You've got to love that bit of writing.

I also enjoyed the inclusion of a shed in the cemetery; I could really picture that in my mind. Perfect for the day that is upon us.
