Always look forward to this, so I'm in. With luck there'll be a fair smattering of decent new stuff on Netflix, Amazon Vid, and Now TV/Sky to go along with the old favourites. Shame I saw the new version of IT fairly recently (well, July, but it's still too soon), but I'm planning on viewing The Thing (1982) straight on the back of The Thing (2011) at some point.

I keep searching for The Island Of Terror (1966), but nobody seems to ever play it. One of the movies that really stuck out to me from my days as a kid growing up in the dark on Saturday afternoons watching B-horror movies in the local theater.

I watched it yesterday on The Horror Channel (UK). Not sure, but you might be able to stream it from their website.

Anyhoo, that's where I'll start my list, along with today's chosen (sacrificial) offerings.

1) Island of Terror
2) Fear The Walking Dead (S3, eps 8&9)

Man! This trailer is exciting! Mesmerizing! Fear inducing!

Too bad the movie wasn't.

1. The Nun~ (New for Me)
The latest in The Conjuring series relating to the Warrens and their work with the paranormal.
I really enjoyed the story and the scare factor was just enough. You have to pay attention to the end to get how it relates to the Warrens.
I'm giving it 5 out of 5 stars just because I love this particular series of movies and all things relating to Ed & Lorraine Warren.

Aw, really? I love this movie. Then again, I'm a huge fan of director Jacques Tourneur so I'm biased! Check out his classic "Cat People" (1942).
I like Cat People a lot. This one was a snooze fest for me. But, I love old black and white.

Filming anything horror in black and white gets a certain amount of love from me.

3. The Breed ~ (New for Me)
Something about integrating vampires into human society, with a renegade vampire who opposes the action.
I usually love a vampire flick, but this one didn't do it for me. Too much government spy junk involved.
1 out of 5 stars.
