15. Let Me In (2010)

This is the American version of Let The Right One In. I had seen both of these before but years apart. It was interesting to watch them both within a few days. Let Me In is a rare instance of remake being as good as the original. I prefer the Swedish movie but not by much. 8/10
I've wanted to watch those back-to-back as well. Haven't seen Let Me In, but have watched Let the Right One In several times. A couple years ago they were streaming on Netflix/Hulu at the same time and I missed my opportunity.

29) Supernatural Season 9: Ep 5 (2013) FTV – Dean uses a spell that lets him understand dogs to help find a monster. 4.5/5

30) 11 Scary Things to Watch on YouTube Right Now - OK this is a link to Den of Geek! It’s 11 horror shorts and web series. I will list and comment on them, but overall this was a 4/5.

He Dies at The End – an office worker alone in the building at night gets creepy clickbait and a typical jump scare. OK.
The Ten Steps – this one was brilliantly creepy!
Mr. Creak – another typical jump scare. Meh.
Mina Murray’s Journal – this is actually a series. I think it has potential, but not the short I was looking for. YA and modern twist on Dracula.
Night Swim – a pool in the dark and a different kind of scare than you are expecting.
3 Versos – a Spanish language short that was beautiful and creepy. Old twist but well done.
Snap – a snapchat version of “the calls are coming from inside the house”. Not bad!
Marble Hornets – another series that I could not watch all of. Found footage is not really my thing.
Invocation – I wanted to like this stop-motion short more than I did.
Who is Mr. Tom? – another series. I didn’t even start this one.
Sloven – a spooky twist on the Odd Couple. Nicely done low budget short.

16. Southbound (2015)

This is an anthology movie that that takes place in the Southwest. The stories are very good and instead of a central story that links the segments (there’s a word for that but I can’t remember what it is), the stories bleed into each other (for example, a character from one story wanders into the next story) and the last story brings you back to the first one. 8/10

17. Tales Of Found Footage

I found this on Amazon Prime and it looked interesting but it was lame. There are 3 lost footage stories with a hilarious actor introducing the stories (the best part of this). It’s an extremely low budget flick which is ok but the problem is that the stories are too long for material. They might have worked better as 7 or 8 minute stories instead of 30 minute stories (like the stories in #18). 3/10

18. Huluween film fest (2019)

Hulu does this new every year and I enjoy these shorts. There are several stories that are 7 minutes each. Most of them have a healthy dose of humor in them. 7/10
