What was your top ten favorite shows of the '80s? There were many changes and fluctuations in comedies and dramas, shaking of the norm..."Norm!"...no, not him. So what were your must watch shows? The ones you set your VCR to record? ;)
Have any stories? Please share them.

My list: (no particular order)

1.) Cheers
2.) Dallas
3.) Newhart
4.) The Cosby Show
5.) Family Ties
6.) Growing Pains
7.) Night Court
8.) The A Team
9.) Who's the Boss?
10.) ALF

1. Wiseguy (definitely number 1)
2. Knight Rider
3. The A-Team
4. The Equalizer
5. Magnum PI
6. Falcon Crest (shut up)
7. The Fall Guy
8. Perfect Strangers
9. 21 Jump Street
10. Cheers

I'd watch anything created by Glen Larson or Stephen J Cannell. The 80s was also the decade of terrific theme music for programmes, something terribly lacking now. Honourable mention also goes to Airwolf.

1. Miami Vice. Never missed an episode. I thought Don Johnson was just about the coolest dude on the planet. Anyone who can pull off a wardrobe involving a white double breasted suit, pink shirt, and loafers AND carry two handguns?

2. Knight Rider. Always tried to catch "The Hoff" and his cool car.

3. The Dukes of Hazzard....I'm from Arkansas, go figure. Scantily clad Daisy and a souped up car.

4. Married with Children. Al Bundy still cracks me up, and I wanted to marry Christina Applegate.

5. Alf. My best friend's favorite show. He did an uncanny impersonation of Alf that used to crack us all up in school.

6. Dungeons and Dragons (Cartoon series). Not sure if this would count as a show more of a Saturday morning cartoon, but I was a huge D & D board game fan back in the day.

7. M*A*S*H. First series I can remember watching with my parents with any regularity.

8. Airwolf. Another show I didn't miss an episode of. It never occurred to me how bad of an actor Jan-Michael Vincent was until years later. I used to have the Airwolf theme song as my ringtone when I worked in CID until everyone ganged up on me and threatened to take my iPhone and.......well, let's just say I agreed to change my ringtone. "You may be cool, but you'll never be Stringfellow Hawk sitting on a dock by a lake playing the cello as he watches a hawk soar across the sky cool."...lol

9. Star Trek: The Next Generation. Sci-fi fan since I could walk. This one was more late 80's but still a great show.

10. The Fall Guy. Lee Majors was entertaining, Heather Thomas was a hottie. Not sure which I liked better about the show.....ok, I do know..

Airwolf was awesome...at the time. Hey, I like Falcon Crest. Great show. This coming from a guy who likes Dallas, lol. How could I forget Magnum P.I.?

Dude, I'm gonna totally rip off your idea and get the Airwolf theme for my ringtone. Woo-hoo!

I could listen to it 1000 times and not get tired of it...which I did, usually at full volume in my cubicle, or I'd get real cute sometimes and play it over the open, inter-office intercom system at full volume. I only did that a couple of times before my Sergeant threatened to taze me. I'm pretty sure he was kidding, but not sure enough where I ever did it again...
