Christine is one of my absolute favorites.

All those wonderful songs.

I think I enjoyed that as much as I enjoyed the story itself; finding out what song would head the next chapter and working the lyric into my perception of what was happening to Arnie and Dennis and that annoying girl.

I loved Christine. By the end of the book, I had really become attached to the people in it. I felt the same feeling of pride that Arnie did when I owned my first car. When Dennis talks about limping, I feel like I'm almost walking in his shoes. I can understand why King hates to end a book because he doesn't want to "say goodbye" to the characters.

I am rereading Christine at the moment, I last read it when I was in my teens (I am 38 now).
I never really rated it as one of his best, but really enjoying it this time around! Gonna pick up the movie to watch after I have finished it too!

That was my experience, too. At fifteen I just wanted to read the roadkill/body count. When I read it as an adult I appreciated it more and really liked Dennis Guilder's narrative voice. Even though it changes POV mid-book, I don't think it's the terrible flaw that King makes it out to be. It works, I think. The "love triangle" was clever, too. When the reader realizes
Lee Cabot isn't the third lover, necessarily, but it's Christine.
