I just started ep 3 this morning. I am enjoying the concept so far. It's a slow build, but I think there are big things coming. If you stopped early, then you missed an important reveal into an up-to-now mostly ignored character that hearkens back to the Coven link. I started watching the show in season 4 with Freakshow, so this summer I went back and watched Coven for the first time, so I would better understand the links when those characters do show up. Anyway, like I've said before, our different tastes and opinions are what keep our discussions interesting on here.
Yes, this latest episode is a much better piece of the story. They have to lay the groundwork. They have to build the world.

I will watch till the end and survive......wait for it.....

 Me, too! I'm there til the smokin' crater end!

Thoughts on ep 3:
- The Supreme is here!!! Watch out Mr. Langdon!
- Looking forward to backstory between Mallory and Madison!
- Why did they go to the trouble of saving 2 non-rich perfect specimens, finally let them consummate their relationship, then off them? Any way to bring them back, too?
- Really wish Coco was still dead.

I kept up with this season until episode six where during the episode at some point I realized that I'd been repeating to myself over and over, "WTF is going on here", almost the entire episode. The season started out really cool but then took a hard left turn toward crazy town. I'm still watching it but slowly losing interest.

Coven was my least favorite season. So, for them to focus so much on that element has me bored to tears.

And, Sarah Paulson is irritating the holy hell out of me. It's been building season after season and I just can't take much more of her one-note-Johnny acting.

No. You are not bad ass. You are just monotonously bad.

But, I am hanging in there. I may love it all in the end.

I'm starting to equate it with a certain show abut sparkly haired vampires, in which case, I'll be forced to hurl myself out into oncoming traffic rather than watch another episode. That lead guy, the blond haired dude, he's one sprinkle of glitter away from fitting right in with the cast of Twilight, and that just won't do. If I see werewolves in any of the future episodes, I'LL SUE!!! I TELL YOU, I'LL SUE!!!

And yeah, I'm with ya on Paulson, DJ. The recycling of the acting core for other seasons was interesting at first, but it's getting a little old.

I, unlike some of you, liked Coven so I was thrilled to see the witches, especially Queenie and Myrtle. Out of the core cast, Evan Peters and Francis Conroy do the best at inhabiting their different characters. I was loving this season but I think they could have used their time more wisely. Why Frick and Frack the robot builders for so much of the time? Why so much time spent on the Outpost stuff? And I found

Mallory's time travel and murder of Michael to be rushed and somewhat unsatisfying. Also, I thought for sure that Mallory would turn out to be an angel. There were even visual cues to this; the chair back making "wings" behind her, the crowns, the harp... oh well.

In the end, I had more questions that I needed answered. Still, I liked this season better than Roanoke.
