Well, I watched this. Don't really have a lot to say yet.

They set it up, now let's see what they do with it.
I agree. I was not very impressed with the first episode. I am not one to seek out spoilers or sneak peeks but just from the commercials I have caught, it seems to me like this one would fit the "Cult" theme.

We shall see!

Uh oh. This story is deep into one of my horror pet peeves.

They think they can throw in some titillating sex scenes and truly believe they are being cutting edge. Shocking us. Making ART.

I can just see the powers-that-be gleefully sitting around the reading table thinking they have written creative and boundary-pushing horror --

"Hey gang! Let's challenge and freak out their middleclass sensibilities!" "We. Are. So. Cool!"

And then they high five each other and break into applause and snort green matcha smoothies.

Okay, they did push my sensibilities because I'm not stoned and I expect good writing. Good story telling. Quit phoning it in and WRITE.

YAWN. So boring.

I'm hanging in there though. I want to see how they rubber-suit us next.

I just started ep 3 this morning. I am enjoying the concept so far. It's a slow build, but I think there are big things coming. If you stopped early, then you missed an important reveal into an up-to-now mostly ignored character that hearkens back to the Coven link. I started watching the show in season 4 with Freakshow, so this summer I went back and watched Coven for the first time, so I would better understand the links when those characters do show up. Anyway, like I've said before, our different tastes and opinions are what keep our discussions interesting on here.

I am still not sure about this one. I like the bunker setting, it feels like a spooky old castle to me. We have only watched eps 1 and 2. 3 is recorded but hubby is going on nights tonight and hunting season starts next week, so I will likely be a few episodes behind by the time we get to catch up.

Started here last Thursday, though I didn't see it until last night. I agree with DiO on this one: decent start, followed by a sudden slide into 'WTF? Wow, this is dumb'. Felt like a waste of a good cast as well as an opportunity to do an apocalyptic/post-apoc story well. Props to Sarah Paulson for saying some of her lines with a straight face.
I'll have a look at ep2, but based on ep1 I'll soon be off finding better things to do/watch. It's not like there's nothing out there I haven't seen.
