A hotel in Miami, FL. Don't remember the name. It was shortly after Hurricane Andrew, and I was doing some work with American Airlines with their Flight Attendants who lost everything. This was the only hotel available to us and half of it was destroyed. There was little-to-no service and a lot of things didn't work. A female worker and I were on about the 13th floor (I believe), and we were taking the elevator down. It broke loose and went a couple floor until the breaks kicked in.
:shock::wha:

The towns that I've visited with the highest elevation were Estes Park, Colorado and Big Sky, Montana. Both are close to 8,000 feet.

What about you?
Took a jeep tour up to Hurricane Pass in San Juan County Colorado near Silverton, back in 2004. The jeep tour maxed out at 13,238 feet. We went there in late June and it was freezing. I also just about passed out from lack of oxygen. I have a picture somewhere with my wife at that time. The blank stare and stupider than usual grin on my face is not a ruse. I was having some pretty hilarious memory issues according to her because of the thin air.

I had the exact reaction while driving to Estes Park. I almost blacked out and had to pull off the road.

I don't mind it. Spiced tea in winter, or something. I prefer iced tea, sweetened of course.

Which part of which King novel scared you the most?
To be honest, it is hard to remember - one of his recent short stories
the one where a couple kidnaps men and keeps them in a closet
- I am so sorry I cannot recall the title - I read it on-line

I was imagining how awful it must have been for the victim

What's your favourite type of cookie?

Oh, yeah, wasn't that The Music Room? The new one?
I like soft and chewy, something comforting like Snickerdoodle or Oatmeal and chocolate chip.

Have you ever wet to the movies by yourself?

I have gone to the movies by myself (Legends of the Fall) but I held my pee the whole time!!!!! No wetting for me ;;D

Would your dream retirement home be in the mountains, ocean side, city, or other??
Lol, can't believe I missed that.

I'd live in any of the states near the Rockies. New Mexico, Colorado, Wyoming and Montana. I'd want to have two or more access roads because I'm afraid of being trapped during a fire.

Do you have trouble sleeping or staying in a restful sleep?

I don't like feather pillows...so, I guess, acrylic. Foam, really. Not sure what acrylic pillows are.

What is the craziest thing you witnessed a drunk person doing?
LOL! I couldn't think what to call not-feather pillows, cry pardon. Getting late for me!

Wow. So many thoughts at once. Most dangerous (aside from every damn drunk driver) was guys climbing the FEN (Far East Network) radio/TV tower on Okinawa. I've seen someone do it and live, but heard about more than one trying, falling, and dying. Young, drunk Marines are a scary bunch of guys.

EIT: Balls. Forgot the question again.

Have you ever done something while drinking that you are just glad you lived through?

Curiously enough I never drank any alcohol until I was 37. I'm 40 as of yesterday. I have never really done anything crazy, lol, just sang karaoke with wild abandon. Other than the occasional beer I don't buy much liquor.

(I've forgotten to leave a question a few times. :))

Have you ever been so mad at someone (a stranger) in public that you wanted to fight? Have words?

Absolutely. Seeing someone mistreat another living thing (usually a kid or a pet) makes me see red. I've gotten into some verbal altercations and called the cops a time or two.

Given the choice, would you rather confront someone (when appropriate) or do you stew when you're upset?

I'd probably stew over it and eventually listen to reason because I hate huge confrontations, especially public ones. However, at certain times I've become fearless and approached people when I perceive an injustice of some kind. It's almost as if my feet are marching before I'm fully cognizant of what I'm doing.

What's the most overrated movie you've ever seen?

Titanic. I wanted to throw myself into oncoming traffic as I was walking out of the movie with my ex-wife, wife at the time. Mainly because she was crying at the ending and I was torn between being chivalrous and going berserk for having to sit thru that 3-hour long mess. Chivalry won the day, but it was a damn close race, say true.

Are you a night-owl or a daylight person?
