Of course, cause he uses some cool words..though once, about a year ago, there was a thread in which people were expressing their dislike of the Under the Dome tv series, because it was not true to the book..I joined in,and used the word "miffed" about my feelings, though it was totally tongue in cheek, realized what they were doing and didn't really care about the tv show..eventually SK penned a response because folks were so up in arms over the tv show, and he used the word "miffed" in his response..I am hoping that I am one of the few people to have SK dip into my word pool.. :grinning:

Nope, one book - particularly a King book - is more than enough for me at any given time!

I'm so into Stephen King right now that reading anything else just makes me long for his masterful writing. I read some James Herbert recently and, although I enjoyed it, I couldn't wait to get back to King.

I read 5 and 6 books at once. It has to do with my capacity to do so many multiple tasks - as a direct result of working in Emergency Medicine - and I can't do just one task. Which makes no sense but oh well. If I have to focus on only one task all day long, I've found there's almost no way I can do it without losing interest.
Right now I'm reading 2 Dean Koontz books, 1 by George Orwell, 1 nonfiction book, and 1 by Kurt Vonnegut called Slaughterhouse 5.

This is me as well

I can only read one author at a time and one book at a time. I started reading “The Wind Through The Keyhole” a few weeks ago, and then I bought “The Stand” and told myself its ok to just read the first few pages; 831 pages into “The Stand” and it’s safe to say I won’t get back to “The Wind Through The Keyhole” until I finish "The Stand". I think the only reason I was able to diverge from “The Wind Through The Keyhole” was because I read the last 3 Dark Tower books in a three week period, and all the new characters of “The Stand” beckoned me greatly.

I have a stack of Dan Simons books and a stack of Orson Scott Card books, and when I look at those two piles of books and ask myself “ok Link , what are you going to read next” ; from my head and heart and groin screams “King, you’re going to read a few more Stephen King books, than you can read Dan Simons and Orson Scott Card, but you damn well know what you want: and you’re not done with King yet, so don’t kid yourself”

I could tell you I have dedicated myself to reading Stephen King, but the more accurate truth is that I have addicted myself to reading Stephen King.
