 Oh ayuh, all those "old" emoticons are all here, alright. But about the preview... Can you see if someone posted a new message, while you were typing one? It seems to preview the post in a pop up, with no information of the recent activity of the thread.

I don't think that is possible, but you would have to check with Jordan to be sure.

:) I do hear you... but I think it was in reaction to Srbo's wee tanty. (tantrum) I was feeling it too last night when I answered him to be honest. A lot of incredibly hard work has gone into preparing the new board--months and months of late nights, and frustration with trying to get things to specifically suit the needs of this MB (software can only bend so much) and I guess when somebody walks in and goes blaaaaaaaaah yuck! What have you done?! (Like it was done purely to annoy people) It can get through a layer or two of skin.
There have been things we've had to give up to go with this board, but it is the very best one for us right now and I just know how hard Jordan and Brian have worked to make this work.

Kudos to all who worked endless hours behind the scene in the Focus Group to bring about the new SKMB. I'm not one to accept change-- well, actually, the changing part /learning curve. The old brain cells are very set in their way and to learn something new take longer than in youth.
Slowly, I learned new tricks- yes, this old doxie can learn, but it's slow. My fingers still go to the left most part to click on "new posts". Wake up fingers- it's moved.
Many members voiced issues with the old MB, and certainly it kept Jordan and Brian up way past bedtime to make sure it stayed in tact. You can use only so much duct tape.
The signs of change to come were there- Jordan had mentioned there would be a change. I actually expected it sooner.( as I shuttered each morning as I logged in- was today the day).
We are Ka-Tet, we help each other through the changes. As we learn, we pass on the little short cuts. Keep your eyes open for those who need help. If you know the answer -help; if not guide to one who might. Pretty soon this new MB will be familiar to all.
Flake, Dana Jean, MsMod and Jordan have been here helping above and beyond. Thankee kindly.
Now I'll go learn a few new tricks on the MB.:m_walk:

All of those emoticons and the projectile puking one is missing. That was my most used and favorite. :)
Are you absolutely sure "projectile puke" is gone? I noticed they sort of mixed in some of the old smaller smilies with the bigger ones... :barf:Here is one (but maybe not the one you want)
This one is more of a slow motion puke: :blarf:

Oh wait! - is this your little guy here? :sic:

There are so many, I just missed them. I prefer the projectile vomit to the one than runs down the chin.

I was surprised to see the new board (haven't' been on much for awhile, lots of life happening!), and a little nervous about learning my way around (something about old dogs and new tricks). However, it didn't take long to discover how easy it is to navigate and find things, if you aren't afraid to poke around or, just ask. I will admit that the avatars being different is a little weird. It's kind of like everyone's faces changed! But I do love my new avatar(can you dig it?)...I wanted it to be similar to my old one (some sort of tower) and I was able to create my own from a special picture I took at the Kon! I want to extend a HUGE THANKS to all who were involved in making this happen. You guys rock!!!

and i'm sure the fact that my clappers aren't clapping totally threw you off. Because, yeah, my clappers aren't clapping.
