This is just something I really want Stephen King to know, and I wasn’t sure the best way to get this little snippet of my life to him:

When I was eleven or twelve, I read Carrie. And that was how I first learned that periods happen. It was also what I thought periods would be like. I waited in excited and horrified suspense for the next two years, for my first moon cycle to begin.
I think about this funny little life story, about every four weeks, for the last 22 years (give or take.)
Stephen King, you taught me about my period. Thanks for being my goddess mother. Have a lovely 2019.

On Writing was an amazing listen on audible. Your narration was so touching and honest.
If I wrote a line on every piece of work you’ve had your hand in, that I adore, this thread would be too long to read.
