Here is an article from The Guardian about the upcoming collection. I assume it is accurate.

Stephen King to share writing tips in new short story collection | Books | The Guardian

Okay. Now for my comment.

I enjoy the fact that it will have introductions to the tales.

I also love the brief loglines to the stories mentioned in the article. A couple sound like Classic King. (You know, at first I was going to joke about a cereal called Classic K, but then I thought it would be neat if King purposely wrote some new stories exactly in the same tone and with the same impetus behind them -- to be commercial so as to be sellable -- as he did when he was younger and put Night Shift together. The collection could be called Classic K, for obvious reasons, and it could feature a story called "Classic K"; it could even be about a corrupt/cursed cereal, or a cursed object found in a cereal. Maybe there is a Halloween promotion going on and the kid who finds the devil prize in it -- as opposed to all the ghost and vampire prizes; the devil prize is placed in only one random box -- becomes possessed.)

In particular, I like the obituary concept. Was that previously published?

Looking forward to the collection, but I have to say, I wish it would be released earlier. Too bad it wasn't the collection for the summer and the sequel to Mercedes in the fall.

Nice. Thank you. "...The best of them have teeth..." Reminds me of Duma Key, teeth...and too, looking forward to all the miscellaneous extras described in the article. The "How to Draw a Picture" sections of Duma Key are a kind of On Writing, 2.0. I wonder how many will click on the blue link tips on writing and check in here and there with their submissions? Heh!
