Again I point out comparisons or analogies always seem to be different when they go against ones viewpoints, and similar when they support one's viewpoint.
DiO/TP logic: One Essay = 5 times as president of the most pro-gun propaganda organization.

When did I ever say I was against guns? Not one single time.

I am against stupid analogies and mis-characterizations of what SK said in this ONE essay. We haven't even talked about guns. We can't get past how illogical and wrong everything you say is yet.

Matters of opinion dude, not facts.

Once again, those who want to keep things the same are not the polar opposite of those who want to completely ban firearms.

Those who want to keep things as they have been are less "extreme" than those who demand change.
Logic evades you. Only in the version you THINK is logic is this BULLSH!T:

I deliberately didn't mention SK in that post did I? and as much as you want to believe it, redneck families who are in your face with guns in public places do not typify those who believe we have enough gun laws already.

As far as Heston holding a musket aloft at an NRA convention...well I don't even follow you there.

Do you think advocating federal registration of all legally owned firearms is a "moderate" position?

Do you consider wanting to ban millions of currently legal firearms and millions of currently legal magazines a "moderate" position?

Do you think believing we have enough gun laws already is an "extreme" position?

That is big-time ironic. Stephen leans left, yet owns a gun. I'm a conservative, and I don't own one. Life is weird sometimes...!

To me, it's only weird when we consider that conservative and liberals must cleave to the whole array of stereotypical left and right issues. Which we do.

I know plenty of liberals whom the NRA in all its paranoia would call "anti-gun" who are all for gun ownership, with appropriate restrictions to lessen the chance of massacre, particularly by people who shouldn't have them.

I know plenty of conservatives who readily acknowledge the more guns we have, the more bullets are going to fly, and the more people are going to get hurt and would like to slow down the carnage.

It's not weird. People are just wired in their own individual ways. Sometimes it doesn't seem like it.

3) Much as everyone seems to bash the 2nd amendment, it's there to make sure we don't strip our citizens of the right to defend themselves. I like being able to call 911 as much as anyone but what if you didn't have time to wait for the police? Intruders aren't going to respond to your pleas of mercy, but they may respond to the racking of a 12-gauge.

A 12 gauge is not the same as an assault weapon, or am I just confused? Also a gun owner, raised in a gunned-up family.

Yeah, they'll shoot you as they have the upper hand.

...his lengthy and honorable career in law enforcement gives him some insight that the rest of us lack.....
But not psychic powers. As for law enforcement, most of the cops I've worked with are staunchly in favour of gun control and are especially contemptuous of the idea of home defence.
