I've read the autobiographies of Keith Richards, Mick Foley (first 2), Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Sammy Hagar, Paul Dianno, Slash (awful read), Andre Agassi (awesome read and I know nothing about tennis), George Harrison (not really an autobiography but great for any Beatle/Harrison fan).

I've never read an autobiography in my life, but I'm determined to read Mike Tyson's. I can't see that being dull, somehow.

Unauthorized  That I can get from the Library. And sneak it back in.

Liz Taylor, Princess Di, Monroe, It is a horrible habit. Full of lies. And they are really bad books. :facepalm_smiley: But I enjoy them for I don't know what. Hey, they have pictures!

What's it all About by a certain cockney actor Michael Caine. If you like Maurice Mickaelwhite read you will laugh.
My wicked, wicked ways. Errol 'in like' flynn. not impressed with him and a 12 year old native girl.
read some of Marlene Dietrich by her daughter.
I don't know if this is either a biography or auto. but am reading Sven Hassel and his experiences during WWII from the German perspective. Shocked. but should i be?????????????
I want to read the biography of that lady who Virginia McKenna played in Carve her name with Pride.
I have read James Herbers sort of Biography 'Dark Places' No more David Ash. RIP James, thanks for the scares.
Would like to read Jimmy White(IMHO, the best snooker player never to have won the world championship)
Brian o' Driscoll(to our French, English, Scotch and Welsh fans, Do i need tell you who he is, apparently he was good enough to make the ALL Blacks starting 15. HANDS OFF KIWIS, HE'S OURS.:)
On Writing/Danse Macabre
Jimmy Cagney, -when James Cagney died, Family Sold his one and only oscar. The first time a woman was hit in the movies, was in a Cagney film, he pushed a cake into her face.

Robin Williams (seize the day boys, why be ordinary, when you can be extraordinqry)

Steve McQueen he dated Sharon Tate and on t he night the murder was done, he turned her down to go to Manson's house.
oh yeah for a few o f the more worldly among us, MR Laurel and MR Hardy. Need i say more. Everybody who loves Norville and Stan should read this.

That's all i can think of for the moment. must leave, need a smoke. Does I realise instead of smoking, i could buy loads and loads of books .):

Ps. Morecamble and Wise Classic. Apart from the TV series, they made 3 films. Hilarious.

Reminiscences by Douglas MacArthur
My Life and Loves by Frank Harris
Memoirs of U.S. Grant
The Diary of a Country Parson by James Woodforde
Memoirs of a Georgian Rake by William Hickey
Memoirs of a Seafaring Man by William Spavens
Rides Round Britain by John Byng
The Diary of a Village Shopkeeper by Thomas Turner
Autobiography of Flavius Josephus
Autobiography of Benjamin Franklin
The Diary of Samuel Pepys
Grace Abounding to the Chief of Sinners by John Bunyan

They may appear a stuffy list, but really they're not. I have a large section of my library devoted to autobiography and have only scratched the surface. So many books, so little time...

Don't wanna quote Booklover's entire post above, but do wanna touch on a couple points. Here goes:

My Wicked, Wicked Ways by Errol Flynn is a great read--sure, he's a bastard all through it; that's part of the charm. He didn't call it My Puritan Ways, you know.

Steve McQueen should have been at Tate's house that night! Wow, I bet things would have went down a helluva lot differently. He'd have beat Tex Watson into a bloody pulp and sent Manson's witches home with spanked bottoms, I'd wot. Bullitt vs the Creepy Crawlies, that's a movie I'd love to see!

Anthony kedis of the red hot chili peppers has his autobiography scar tissue I could not put it down once I started it. It is well written and full of crazy stories of a rock legend at least he is in my eyes. Anyways if you like the chili peppers music definetly check that one out.

I've yet to read an autobiography. The only biography I remember having read is A Beautiful Mind, about John Forbes Nash Jr. written by Sylvia Nasar. It's a big book and it took me a while to finish, but it was written very well and was very thorough.

Have read biographies of Himmler and Speer but forgotten by whom. Also biographies on several Roman Emperors.
These are exceptions really. mostly i read about different times where everything is put more into context than what is possible if you focus on one person all the time.
