I've read a lot of bio/autobios. The best one I've read lately was Paul Stanley's (From KISS). He's an interesting, likable guy.

Wow, do you just wake up and read until bed time? So I take it you like to read about historic rulers and monarchs? History was not one of my favourite subjects in school, by the time I could drop it, I did. I'm guessing it was one of yours? Not big on autobiographesies, have read a few by some sport and movie people. But read several biographies on historical Persons.

Have read biographies of Himmler and Speer but forgotten by whom. Also biographies on several Roman Emperors.
These are exceptions really. mostly i read about different times where everything is put more into context than what is possible if you focus on one person all the time.
Kurben's list is impressive indeed, especially for a young man. Check out Deej's! Some people love to study history, some science, some actual knowledge. I don't like to study anymore so I watch movies, mostly.Wow, do you just wake up and read until bed time? So I take it you like to read about historic rulers and monarchs? I love history, thats true! But mostly i don't read books on a single ruler but more of an epoch in that countrys history. Like the Tudors or the Stuarts when it comes to english Kings. When we get closer to now in time i don't read so many biographesies because the people most often lived in a democracy and then it is difficult to give a portrait of the time without involving more than one person (Hitler and Stalin are obvious exceptions and they didn't live in democraties). But some rulers really made an impression on their time and then a biography can capture the time too. Thats why i havent read a biography on Roosevelt or Churchill because to understand their maneoverings you have to understand England or the US at their time and that would take many more persons so in their case a biography is really just a complement. But i read a lot, thats true, even if i do take breaks for sleeping, working, SKMB and some social life. And it doesn't have to be rulers, read one on Dante, one on Shakespeare (a controversial one), one on Leonardo DaVinci and one on Galileo Galilei.Wow, do you just wake up and read until bed time?
