Anyone else seen it yet? I thought it was amazing and left the theater feeling like I'd had all the air sucked out of my body.

Yup. All I could do was sit there, mouth agape asking, "What?" Of course, now that I've had a few days to think about it (and do some You Tube viewing)
I get that everyone will be back -- except for Loki, Heimdall and Gamora, possibly -- but I did not read the comic and had no idea going in that this was part one of two. That may have helped me with the ending at the time. But, man, the way Peter went out was still heart-breaking. I think that Doctor Strange said all with his look when he gave Thanos the time stone, though.

It is in the top 5 MCU films, I feel. Well done, well acted and that 2 1/2 hours went by fast!

Loved it! I've now seen it twice, and the impact was even greater the second time (I pretty much leaked from the eyes for the last half of the movie). It was dark, and brave, and it mostly made sense (though why they didn't put Thanos' arm through one of Doc Strange's portal thingys and then close the portal, thus cutting off his arm, is beyond me).
Two things I haven't heard anyone talking about that made an impression on me: 1) Hulk was afraid of Thanos. Wow! I didn't think he could be afraid! 2) Thor says none of the Guardians could possibly wield a weapon made by the big dwarves--it would crush their bodies and explode their minds... but Groot did it. Tells me there's a lot about Groot that we don't know (or I didn't until my son told me. Hes one powerful plant!). I could talk about this movie all day. This is in my top 5 Marvel movies, too, Tery .

Hulk's fear of facing Thanos a second time was brilliant to me. Think about it, Hulk is pretty much a force of nature with the mentality of a temperamental 3 year old. To that point, he'd never faced anyone who could actually put him down for the count and it scared the bejeezus out of him to learn that he really WASN'T the "strongest one there is". And this one became my favorite Marvel movie (and possibly my favorite superhero movie period) of all time!

And...
Captain Marvel is coming!!! Can't wait!

This movie left me traumatized, I tell ya! Not even kidding. It was brutal!
D'oh! What a great idea!

Wish I could go see it again, this time with you!
They didn't do that because Strange looked at all those futures and saw only one way to win. That wasn't it.

There was a definite nod to the Avengers movie where Hulk drove Loki into the ground and mused: "Puny god."
Thanos made Hulk feel puny.

I love this film and will be seeing it again tomorrow, after which I'll write a full review. By the way, if you guys thought the scene between Peter and Tony was heart-breaking, do you remember when Groot said "I am Groot" to Rocket at the end? James Gunn recently revealed what it translated to. Click the link below to well and truly shatter your heart.

It was a fantastic film, I loved it. I was really happy they made Thanos a three dimensional villain, with character and motivation. Even though I know pretty much everybody will be back, those scenes at the end still had me feeling quite emotional. Especially Peter & Groot, also poor Thor! What else can he loose? :too_sad:

Though I do prefer his....
eyepatch over the new eye Rocket gives him, Idk just thought it looked more badass and like Odin. Probably for the best though, Nick Fury might be grumpy about somebody else having a cool eyepatch. :haha:
