WE all have bad driving habits. I have my pet peeves about driving. My personal favorite is no turn signal and then they turn. Name your bad driving habits.

Texting while driving, followed very closely to drivers who feel it necessary to come to a complete stop to make a right turn.....any right turn, not just at stop lights.

Texting, no turn signal, driving under the speed limit in the passing lane. Driving well below the speed limit (like 20 in a 35 for example) in either lane. Putting on makeup , shaving, etc. I could go on and on and on. Basically, I'll be happy when I can teleport or retire and not have to commute anymore! :D

I seen people take the cake on bad driving this week. It was hailing so instead of pulling over on to the side of the road. They stop under a bridge. A line of cars all under the bridge blocking the highway. so others could not pass what so ever. I got stuck behind a line of cars for 13 minutes while it hail.

I don't want to be too sanctimonious, but I've tried really hard over the years to not have bad habits.

I take corners fast because it's fun, but I'm always safe about it. I don't cut off pedestrians or bikes or other vehicles.

I like to take off fast from the light/stop sign, which is a habit from motorcycling days when you want to put distance between you and the pack, but it's also fun.

Bicyclists can annoy me, but there's a 3-foot law in Colorado, and I think it's a good one, and I obey it.

If someone cuts right in front of me, or doesn't use a turn signal ,I slow down and give them room. Why should I let them have enough control over my mood to give me a bad one? I don't even know them.

If I'm driving aggressively, which doesn't happen too often anymore, I make sure there's safe space between me and others and use my turn signal for the lane change.

I let cars in front of me who are struggling to change lanes, WITH THE EXCEPTION (and maybe this is my bad habit), if they've charged up, trying to wedge in. Then I'll cut 'em off and pretend not to notice them. But if it looks like, oh, man, they got stuck in a lane that's disappearing and they didn't notice until it was too late, sure, they can get ahead of me.

I like to go fast but stay within whispering distance of the speed limit**. In residential areas and school zones, I am scrupulous about observing speed limit and hypervigilant with the surroundings. After listening to thousands of pieces of litigation over the years, the thought of killing a kid who just happens to be out of place is terrifying. You don't want to do that.

Okay. After all that blather, here it is. I eat in the car a lot. I don't think that's such a good thing, but it bugs the hell out of me to spend the time in a place just sitting and eating when I could be getting someplace else.

**There are exceptions. On a lonely state highway in another state, I found out that the Little Red Beast can go 120 mph with plenty left to spare.
