first off, I enjoyed this story a lot... That ending-- yikes!

But, like with "The Dune", I have a question I'm hoping someone can help clear up...

The narrator mentions, when telling his life story, that he stayed on campus at his college in the summer of 2000, but was born in 1969... Thus putting him at 31 years old. I think it was mentioned that he stayed on campus his junior year, so I think 1990 would have made more sense. As well, the narrator mentions when he sees the bad little kid again in 2000 that it had been "over ten years" since he'd seen him last, but the last time he'd seen the kid was when he (the narrator) was in fourth grade... So 1979/1980? Am I missing something or what?

I think "2000" being mentioned in the timeline was simply a mistake and it should have been 1990, because he also makes a comment relating to "serious theatre" some 25-years later, which would now place them in the present ie; 2014/2015. Also 1990 would fit with saying he hadn't seen the bad kid for over 10-years, if he had last seen him in the late '70s.

Anyhoo...I really enjoyed this story, that bad kid sure was, well...bad!! I'd love to read more of his exploits...hint hint Uncle Steve, y'all know I'm a greedy gal and always want more!
I couldn't help but think of Pennywise as soon as the kid appeared. The description of his mannerisms, the way he spoke/taunted others...even how he was dressed, the description of his hair, red lips etc, all made me imagine this could be Pennywise in another one of his guises. Shudder.

I certainly got a Pennywise-vibe from this. Not a clone but certainly related. Maybe when the ship crashed in Derry a lifepod crashed in Alabama...?? Oh, i almost forgot, i liked the story. Bad SK for keeping it away from us for so long..... (just kidding, no bans, please...)

For some reason the kid reminded me of Clarence from the Cartoon Network.
