Brilliant! I thought the series finale was great. Loved the interviews with the actors afterwards
too. One thing though. 5 seasons?! I saw the last 3 so I will be going backwards and watching
the first 2 seasons on HBO. Not sure why I wasn't watching it from the beginning maybe it was
not available on our stations or maybe (probably) just didn't see it in the line up.
What did you think of the season finale Toni_S_UK ?

Great ending. I will rewatch the whole series soon.
How creepy was that when Norma's body was dressed up and sitting at the dining table?
I watched the post show stuff as well. Anybody who wants to hear more from the cast in the past, go to youtube and type Bates Motel Panel and watch some of their question/answer stuff from events like Comic Con. Good stuff.

The ending was perfect. And, I'm really impressed with Freddie as an actor and as a young adult. He speaks fluent Spanish and Arabic for crimeinitaly! (prounounced crime-in-nitly).
It was great to see Norma and Norman together at the end, the one shot with her holding him as a little boy, and a happy ending for Dylan and Emma. It was difficult to get past the shock of Dylan seeing his dead mother at the table, though. Disgusting. So much happened, it was like an overload. Norman was so tormented and damaged that I think him dying was a way for him to be at peace.

I'm going to rewatch at some point too.
I'm planning on keeping a note pad next to my chair so that I can keep a body count for the 5 seasons. ;-D
I'm thinking about getting the blu-rays but will wait until season 5 is released. When they release season 5 there will probably be a special edition bundle with all the seasons so I'm going to wait and see.

Back when I was watching the first two seasons, I was a little critical of the Dylan character (I think I mentioned it in this thread as I was watching) because the character didn't seem to add anything to the show in those first couple of seasons. I didn't really like that pot farm story line too much. It will be interesting to see those first two seasons again and see if I feel the same way. Thinking back on it now, I think the setup of the Dylan character was important and I'll probably have a more favorable opinion of the early Dylan character when I see it again. This show did a great job with character depth. All of the characters had many interesting layers.

Agreed. This was my least favorite of the storylines also, but, it did lay the ground work for Dylan's character.

I think that I will be purchasing the season Blue Ray, so that I can re watch. It was so good.

Seasons 1 & 2 were really good but Seasons 3,4 & 5 were on a different level. Especially 4 & 5.

I know it's hard to remember them all but what sticks out in your mind as the best episode. I think my favorite was episode 9 of season 4
when Norman killed Norma
. There were several episodes in 4 & 5 that would be candidates. I think the last one of season 3 was a great one too
Mother and Norman by the Lake
.
The one where Norman discovered his nighttime activities was a great one too
