Hi,
I am new here and am trying to figure out what is the best version of "The Shining" to get for my old man for Fathers Day. My dad loves the movie with Jack Nicholson and hinted around to me that he would love to read the book.
Obviously, he doesnt need or even want a 1st edition. I know he would rather have hardcover over paperback. So are there special versions that the un-initiated like me wouldnt know about? Im sure he would want a version that is original. I know sometimes they update certain books because maybe some of the content is a little controversial. He doesnt want a politically correct version. So with all this in mind. Can someone recommend a version for me? Its ok if he doesnt get it by this Sunday.
Thanks for any help...

So is that Cemtary Dance Limited Edition the same thing as this BCE? I think my old man wouldnt mind previously unavailable material as long as it doesnt change the original material in any way besides adding to it. If it replaces some stuff then thats different...

...nothing is replaced or changed from CD my friend and BCE is "Book Club Edition" which there are no guarantees of full editions or full quality...
