Season 4 Episode 3

Do you think Kim destroyed Chuck's letter to Jimmy and wrote another? I don't remember seeing anything that would indicate that but that letter sure doesn't sound like Chuck.
That is a good question! I hadn't considered that. But I thought she got so emotional because she just KNEW the letter was going to be full of typical Chuck put downs and she was just so relieved that she hadn't brought Jimmy more pain by giving him the letter.

But, thinking along your line of thought...Jimmy read the whole thing pretty mono-tone so did he make it up on the fly? Because he showed zero reaction to the letter not sounding a bit like Chuck.

Also, I loved Kim tearing into Howard in episode 2. I was all, You go girl!! :D

Better Call Saul is back. It's been away so long, it snuck up on me.

I've seen the 4 episodes that have aired and this looks like another stellar season. In episode 4, you can start to see how Jimmy got steered toward the clientele he had in Breaking Bad. I think cracks are starting to show between Jimmy and Kim. The cracks have always been there, they are just starting to expand a little. Despite all the crime, Saul is as much a romance story between Jimmy and Kim as anything.

I watched Breaking Bad for a while - at first I loved it, but it got too violent and mean for me
when Walt sent Jessie to kill Gail and then the Boxcutter episode followed, I bailed
But I so enjoyed Saul's character, and Mike too. I just started watching Better Call Saul and I cannot get enough. I'm on Season 3 and I hate to see it end. I'm glad I got another season coming at me. I'm going to miss spending my evenings with the McGills. I usually stay awake for at least 2 episodes a night.

You've still got some left. Season 5 is airing now and there will be a season 6. Season 6 is going to be the end.

I'm still catching up but great season so far. Missed Jimmy and Kim!

I've watched all 5 episodes and Jimmy and Kim seem to be rebounding but the reason they are closer is because they are running another scam. I've just realized that they seem to be happiest when they can run a scam together. :) This makes me concerned for the fate of Kim. When she exits (as I'm sure she has to at some point), will it be bad?

This week's episode was a good one (S5-8). I think it was the most Breaking Bad-ish episode of the series.

Kim is now on the cartel's radar. Not good.
I just watched this one last night. Definitely not good to be on the cartel's radar.

Question though...
The scary twin hitmen were who handed Jimmy the money. They work for Lalo, they are his cousins, correct? And Gus is working to take over. So how do they end up working for Gus then, I wonder? And, if Gus is trying to take over and he is the one who wanted Lalo in jail to begin with, why would Gus send Mike to make sure Jimmy made it back with the bail money?

Gus wanted Lalo out of jail because that would mean he would skip bail and go back to Mexico never to return to the US. I think the other part of your question will start to come into focus in the next episode when Gus makes a call to find out who tried to stop Jimmy.

I saved the finale to watch for a couple weeks, I didn't want it to be over already.

Thought it was a solid end to the season. Lalo is still in play but no one will know. I do hope Nacho does ok, I like him. Kim and Jimmy...Kim is on track finally to do her pro bono work, like she wants, but at the same time seems to be turning more towards the dark side. Wanting to derail the whole nursing home lawsuit just to get back at that one lawyer, so unlike her! And she was gleeful about it! It will be very interesting to see where her character goes. We get one more season, right?

I have always enjoyed Kim's character but I do believe this season was Rhea Seehorn's best acting on the show. She was formidable the whole season. I think Emmy worthy!

We have all just assumed that Jimmy was going to do something terrible that caused Kim to leave before the show joins the Breaking Bad time. But maybe it's not Jimmy that's going to do something bad, maybe it's going to be Kim. Kim has always enjoyed a little of the dark side and she seems to be enjoying the dark side a little more now.
