Going to MA to visit the granddaughter and her parents. Haven't seen them since the middle of July. Other than the drive, am really looking forward to it.
Hope your trip went well - how big is your granddaughter now? Anything interesting happen on your trip?

Welcome back!

She'll turn 21 months in just a few days and is talking a lot more so able to express herself better. Unfortunately, she also has a head start on the terrible two tantrums but they're not letting her get away with that, i.e. giving in, when she goes into full tantrum mode so that phase should pass soon. Just the usual visit with family, trip to a petting zoo, hanging out, so nothing "interesting" to report.

Thought you might have had adventures on the road or something - glad everything went well and you had a nice safe trip - you're brave to drive all alone like that - but I don't know how far it is from Maine to Massachusetts - heck I didn't even know how to spell Massachusetts - thank goodness for spell check!

Other than the usual afternoon rush hour (an oxymoron if I ever heard one) traffic that I had the misfortune of hitting, it was an uneventful trip. It took a little over 5 hours to get there because of that but only about 4 on the way home. I'm used to doing the drive by myself so no big deal.

Does she have an accent different than yours? Have your eyes? You gotta teach her New England speech. Then every terrible two's will sound funny and proper.
I've never heard a toddler saying ayuh, instead of No.

Now I want to.

Hahahaha! My daughter would kill me if I taught her to say ayuh. She couldn't wait to leave Maine and move to "the city". :) If anything, she's probably going to get a Massachusetts accent, at least once she gets to school and is around more kids who talk like that. She has very blonde hair and blue eyes, although not quite the same shade of blue as mine. We weren't sure if they might change as both her mom and dad have hazel/green eyes but they've stayed very true blue so think that's going to be it.
