I very nearly didn't make it back on Tuesday as the plane I was supposed to take from Tucson was going to be delayed over an hour which meant I would miss my connection in Chicago by 4 minutes. Long story short, after refusing to go to any airport 2 hours from where I needed to be and explaining I could not wait until the next day, United agreed to get me on American Airlines flights back leaving within the hour. Won't deny that it was very annoying to pull into Bangor International Airport at midnight right next to the United plane that I should have been on that had landed at 9:30 but at least I was home.
That will teach them not to mess with MsMod!! Just glad you made it back safe.
I had a text from my travel agent who was amazed that they did that for me at no cost. Considering it was their fault I wouldn't make the connection, I just assumed they should make it right so went in with that attitude and it worked (this time).

You may be right. I never get pulled out of the security line but this time because I'd had to go back to the ticketing area and a different concourse, that meant I had to go through security again and with 20 minutes before the plane was to depart, they decided that was when they needed to scan my laptop and look through my bag. They even made me take my shoes out of my bag that was going through the scanner anyway and into a tray (I'd thought it would be easier to take them off and put them in the bag in case I wanted to sprint in my socks to the gate). And, of course, once I finally got my stuff back and my shoes on, the gate was the very last one on the concourse. Obviously I made it but grrrrrrrrrrrGood job, Marsha! But you're probably on the 'list' now....
