This will mostly only apply to those who are still under moderation, but wanted to give a heads up that the delay before posts go live may be a little slower next week. I will be having surgery tomorrow and although I plan to be back on duty when the Board opens on Tuesday, I may be taking breaks during my work day that would impact the moderation time. I appreciate your patience during that time.

Just a quick hello and goodbye (since it is almost 2 p.m. here which is 3 p.m. where Moderator is and the Board closes soon)

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Have to sign off - we're going for a drive to see how far the Concordia Hospital is from us.
Only 12-ish where I am as I'm back in AZ until early May. The down side is that since AZ doesn't observe daylight savings time, I begin working at 5:30 AM but I do get done for the day at 1 PM so that makes up for it a little. :)

Hope you have a great weekend, too!

You'll miss almost half of the springtime in Maine??? I've only been to Maine once, but it was springtime and it was beautiful.

I still had snow in my back yard when I left on Monday. April is not a great or even spring-like month as far as I'm concerned. It's only 37 degrees in Bangor right now. The leaves don't even start budding out until the middle of May as far north as I am so the most I may miss is mud season. No big loss. I'll be home May 5th so there will be plenty of spring weather for me to enjoy but in the meantime, I'm loving being in 80+ degrees every day and not having to wear a coat.

My one trip to Maine was at Moody Beach in Wells. Southern Maine if I recall. Is the weather much different between Bangor and there?

Hmmm.....I could spend April in AZ with sunshine nearly every day and temps in the high 70s, 80s, and sometimes 90s, green grass and flowers and cacti blooming everywhere or in Maine with one day maybe getting up to 60 and the next day 20s and snowing, still having snow on the ground until nearly May, mud season, etc. :hmm: Nope, not something I will miss. :)

It's a gradual melt this year which is actually a good thing, otherwise we might have problems with flooding/basement damage etc. The Red River is quite high which is normal for this time of year.
I hope that you won't have to deal with flooding. There's so much of it happening in our country, places that have never flooded before have it happening. The weather just keeps getting weirder and weirder.

I love it when I go looking in my alerts and it says "X quoted you" (in this case you KRF)
