Do give books - religious or otherwise - for Christmas. They’re never fattening, seldom sinful, and permanently personal.

I'm coordinating with Jordan as he's the one who has to set up the scheduling behind the scenes. With my work schedule and the holidays being in the middle of the week and things going on with Jordan's holidays , I'm leaning toward closing it down end of day on Thursday (19th) and reopening on January 7th. We'll put the dates up as we always do, though, so that people will know what to expect.
There's not going to be any 'updating' of the software, is there? I hate updates......

I sincerely hope everyone on the SKMB has a safe, memorable, and happy holiday season. It's hard to believe this place will be shut down this time next year. Dust on the shelves, maybe a lonely red balloon or two floating slowly around the hallways with no one to interfere in their paths, or an unfound door appearing somewhere in the Colorado Lounge with no one but a bartender named Lloyd to notice as he polishes the bar and waits longingly for the regular patrons to show back up. The caretaker strolls into the lounge, bellies up to the bar where he and Lloyd discuss where everyone might have gone. The caretaker, Jack Torrance, may it do you fine, asks Lloyd if he's seen any martians around the hotel because he's sure they've landed somewhere. Lloyd remarks he may have, in fact, and pours himself and Mr. Torrance a stiff martini each. Jack turns around on the bar stool, tosses back his drink, Lloyd does the same, and they continue their eternal vigil watching the bat wing doors of the Colorado Lounge to see if anyone is going to show up for the party in this hotel located somewhere between different levels of the tower.

Everyone have a great Christmas and holiday season.

Well, I like to think that this Christmas is important, and that Roland will be on his last time around, destined to reach the top and find out for himself, Ka is a wheel, and regardless of if the board is here, it will continue. I'm sure Roland thought his quest was ending when he reached the top, but it was actually just beginning. Thankya-sai everyone!
