Hi,

I am new here and not sure if this is the right place to ask but got a couple of questions

1) Does Stephen king do any book signing? If so, where is it announced and how do we know?

2) If there's any book signing, does it make sense to bring 'any' book and get autograph? For example, if the book signing is for 'The institute', is it rude to bring 'The Shining' there and get autograph? (or maybe bringing both books makes more sense but not sure if two books are allowed for one person)

Thank you

Hi and welcome to the message board. I'm unsure of any planned book signings at this point, but if you keep an eye on the News section on the main site, notice of any future book readings/ or signings would be posted there.

I'm also fairly certain that the only books he's signing now are pre-signed copies of the book being promoted at book readings.

Welcome to the Board!

FlakeNoir is correct, when he does events these days the books are primarily pre-signed copies of the one he is promoting at that event. He signs 400 copies which are then randomly distributed so that no one knows ahead of time whether they will be getting a signed copy if the event is ticketed for more than 400 people.

Ooops - sorry - I had not read post # 5 yet :facepalm_smiley:

So now you've gotten it straight from the "horse's mouth" (not that Ms. Mod is horsey or anything)

I actually had the same questions! I'd still be interested how you find out when and where book signings are. Just keep an eye out on Twitter? Or?

Sigh.... I probably won't have the money to go to a SK book signing in this lifetime, though. I live across the country and am broke. One time I traveled from Washington state to California just to get a book signed at an event, and even that was exhausting and expensive

We don't have any book signings scheduled and he won't be doing a book tour for IF IT BLEEDS. If he does add an event this year, it will be announced on the home page of stephenking.com. We also send out announcements through our newsletter. You can sign up here if you're interested.
