Hubie Marsten (owner of the Marsten House, Salem's Lot; still hanging around); King touches on their last moments lightly, telling us that no one knows how it was for him and Birdie at the end - what he did to her and why she begged for death. I think that story would make a hell of a book. I'd hear more if he would tell it.

The forming of the Tet Corporation: John Cullum, Aaron Deepneau, Moses Carver. King himself says that would make a great story.

Those are the two on my mind right now; I know I've thought of others. You?

This is a good topic! There are so many stories/characters/subplots etc. that could show up in a future book and would be well worth reading. I myself would always choose a 100% 'new' book as opposed to a sequel/series, but sometimes a sequel/series can be justified and turn out to be some of an author's best work. And as always, I'd rather read whatever Stephen really wants to write as opposed to what someone else might want him to write, but...

How great would a Crimson King novel be? There are many memorable King villains, and part of the reason for this is that they've all been explored in depth and detail. The Crimson King, however, seems to be the one villain that was finished off with far too quickly and we never really got to see the Crimson King in his glory days.

I'm not sure if Stephen's ever commented on writing about the Crimson King again, but it could be great.
