I found the letter (from February 1991) and it totally was from you, Ms. Mod!! How great is that?!?

I am going to tag Moderator on this, too. How awesome would that be?!? I believe Eyes of the Dragon was her first job for SK, if I am remembering right. So chances are, the letter was from her!

Ka-incidence!!

Might have been me as I was working here then and did a lot of the fan mail responses but at the time there were also a couple of other ladies in the office who did fan mail as well so can't say with 100% certainty.

I'd like to see a return to Castle Rock. Constant Reader knows it like the back of their hand, and perhaps this is why King feels that chapter is closed...it holds no intrigue for him.
I can think of only two books where the sequel would be justified. Firestarter and Eyes of the Dragon. As much as I'd like to revisit stories like It, Christine and Pet Sematary I think he'd basically be telling the same essential plot again. King has flirted with open ended books since he began. Is the Evil REALLY dead? Books like Needful Things, The Stand, Christine, and 'Salem's Lot. I'm most curious about the next new idea he'll hatch.

Holds intrigue for me, do ya. Dying to know what's been going on in the Rock these last 25 or so years. Bet a lot of freaked-out stuff.

Yeah, it is almost like King is never really through with the Rock; he mentions it often and characters drive through it on occasion (Lisey's Story). I'd be happy with a short story similar to It Grows On You or The Sun Dog. Maybe backstories to favorite characters? I can't remember what happened to Alan Pangborn. Seems like there is a reference to him in Lisey. Do you remember?
