A while back, Grandma bought me a Baubax travel windbreaker.

I've used it a lot, and it's pretty cool. Gloves, of sorts, that unroll from the sleeves. Velcro'd and zippered pockets all over, including a passport-sized one. A retracting ring for keys and whatnot. A wimpy little travel blanket that folds into a pocket. An inflatable neck cushion that Velcros into the neck band. Hood, with a little flap that you can pull over your eyes if you need it for sleeping on a plane or train. A collapsible water bottle. An inflatable footstool. It also does well at repelling rain.

They had a heavier jacket featured, but Grandma and I go for layers, so the windbreaker it was. Also, it was cheaper. But it's not cheap.

Indeed! I give a presentation to my colleagues on international work, and I was displaying the jacket as part of it. After a couple hours of job and travel intricacies, dynamics, and hard realities, someone raises a hand and asks, "So where can I get the James Bond jacket?" :D

And I forgot to mention the stylus that threads into the zipper part, the emergency whistle that's on the retractable string, and probably some other things as well.

Yes - something in a large cotton Creepshow would be perfect! muskrat
Cowboy I have never seen an illustrated copy of Salem's Lot - how very cool!!

I got some cuddleduds - my boss freezes me out at work. I'm already in cuddleduds and it's only November.
Also a very nice statement piece handbag - it's frighteningly purple, looks like alligator skin - purple alligator - it's large and stiff and bangs into people and things as I walk by. It makes me feel powerful. Watch out!

They tried that in Winnipeg with 'Target' (maybe the rest of Canada as well?). They built a humongous new building, everyone came, there was not much stock, prices were not what was expected, people stopped coming, there is now a big empty building looking to get leased now.
I like Target because it's an everything shop, you can get anything you need that's not a store exclusive. When I was little and went shopping with my mom there she would always get the popcorn from the cafe they had (Do those still exist?) and I got to look at the toy section for a few minutes after she was done shopping.
