Does Stephen King really hate the word "but" (for example "I like Dean Koontz, but...) Just a little reference he made in Needful Things when Mr. Gaunt was talking to Brian in a dream and then he also mentioned it to Nettie.

On a side note, I really loved the book. People were so crazy, it was sort of comical at times and scary.

I wouldn't say that was Mr. King in particular. Mr. Gaunt's character was the one who hated that word, to my recollection. But I'm with Blunt on this one. You kinda lost me there too.
