Took another glass blowing workshop and actually did glass blowing this time. A LOT of hands on assistance with staff but I'm claiming at least part credit for having made the flower vase and bowl in the pic. The color wasn't as saturated as I'd hoped with the vase. I had picked out a dark purple and white but it only shows a tint of the purple. Now I want to make 3 plates with the wavy edges to use as wall displays so there's another workshop in my future, hopefully before I head back east.

You could always purchase a few artificial sprigs of them for the vase. A touch of "home" at home.
They do have lupines here, too, or at least I've seen them in pictures. I'm hoping to treat myself with real flowers from time to time here but for the moment have the vase in my display case. Very pretty with the puck lights on. :)

You sound like me. :)
lol. Ive gone through so many different craft hobbies. altered arts, art journalling, knitting, fabric crafts, felting, etc etc
Ive recently bought a spinning wheel, and really want to get started on it, but its a case of finding a safe pace for my wheel, while its "set up" and thats difficult to manage with my youngerson with autism.
but i aim to get started. sooner or later.

Be sure to post some pics of the yarn you spin. Would love to see it! I haven't done any spinning but do knit, crochet and weave so surprising I've never gone that route. I seem to go in cycles with the crafts as to what medium I'm working in and when I get bored of whatever the craft du jour is, go on to something else until I circle back around again. Squirrel is my middle name. :)

Ms Mod thats exactly what I am like too. I have cycles of crafting activity. I like to go all in on something for as short or as long as the spell takes me, then I can drop something for so long that my husband thinks im not into that anymore and he starts mentioning about getting rid of unwanted equipment. even after 20 years he still makes this faux pas. I occasionaly decide a certain interest isnt getting anywhere and i reluctantly choose to get rid of an item here and there, but ive not wanted to get rid of all the rubber stamps and empty altoids tins and other things he thinks wont get used anymore, i get really uppity if he pushes the issue. lol

yas! sister. I do love your glass work. when I first moved up to this tiny town, I used to enjoy going to watch the glass blowers in the local factory that was named after the county i moved to. I love watching master crafts people at work doing their thing. sadly the company went bust and got sold out and then moved out the county.
